  • What is money laundering and terrorist financing
  • What is an AML program and how does it apply to banks, other financial institutions, casinos and other businesses
  • Why international standards require that lawyers engaged in commercial transactions for a client follow these same AML program rules, including customer due diligence (aka KYC or Know Your Customer), designating a compliance officer and filing suspicious activity reports or SARs
  • The ABA’s Voluntary Good Practices Guidelines for Lawyers to Detect and Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
  • Why every civil fraud suit may raise an AML compliance issue
