Mentor Form

Mentor Form
'The Alumni Relations office is proud to offer Mentoring Program, an initiative the George Washington Law Alumni Association. The Mentoring Program pairs law students with alumni and others who are interested in sharing their expertise and advising students on how to make the most of their law school experience.

Although serving as a mentor does not require a great deal of time, mentors are asked to commit to meeting with their mentee at least three times during the school year. Lunch is suggested, however due to geographic differences this interaction can also be by phone, skype, email, in the office, or whatever you find works best for your mentor/mentee relationship.

To become a mentor, simply complete the below form.  If you have any questions, please contact Amye Lee Rheault in the Alumni Relations Office at (202) 994-7862 or by e-mail at

I AGREE to contact GW Law if I have any questions, comments, or concerns about the Mentoring Program, my mentee, or regarding a change in my abilities to serve as a mentor.
I COMMIT to meeting with the mentee student at least three separate times during the school year (whether in person or via phone or skype) and maintaining regular contact with the mentee student. Because the nature of law practice varies, if I am unable to meet with a student during a scheduled time, I will contact the student as soon as possible. If I have difficulty receiving communications from my student, I will contact GW Law.
I CERTIFY that I am in good standing with my state's bar association.
